<p>From 1955, here&#8217;s Eddie Fisher getting an award from Dodger Pee Wee Reese at Ebbets Field. This is from May 31st, just before a night game versus the Pirates, which you can <a href="http://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/1955/B05310BRO1955.htm">check out on Retrosheet</a>. The Dodgers lost that night, but, as you might recall, <a href="http://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/1955/YPS_1955.htm">things worked out</a> pretty darn well that year.</p>

<p>The next year, in October 1956, Eddie Fisher and his wife Debbie Reynolds had a daughter who eventually became famous in her own right &#8212; Carrie Fisher. Who has <a href="http://carriefisher.com/?cat=1">her own blog now</a>.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s a small world.</p>
