On the BBC website, “Audio slideshow: ‘Swinging Away’”

The MCC Museum at Lord’s is trying to dispel a few myths, and reveal some surprising connections, in a new exhibition that looks at the shared history of cricket and baseball.

The Curator of Collections, Adam Chadwick, took reporter Andrew Hosken on a trip back in time.

    Ken from isportsweb here. I work with a lot of guys from India and they eat cricket up. I mean they subscribe to watch it on their computer and some will watch at 2AM PST if need be. They’ll tell you it was the only good thing left over from British occupation. Tried watching it with them and they worked hard to explain it to me; I could not figure out what the heck was going on. Like soccer, a sport that those who did not grow up on it will ever get into. No Dodger blogger “stuff” this season I see. Is Dennis Mannion not into bloggers the way Jamie was?

  • Hi, Ken. Yes, it seems they’re more interested in doing Twitter-related giveaways and focusing on that versus the bloggers. At least so far.
