LA Bike Tour Supporting ThinkCure
This year’s LA Marathon will be proceeded by a Bike Tour along the same course, to benefit various organizations — including the Dodgers’ official ThinkCure! charity.
You’ll need to get up early, as it starts at 5 AM, but you can join 15,000+ other riders on the 22-mile course.

Diamonds aren’t forever (Updated)
Quite a disheartening turn of events today, especially juxtaposed with the Manny news — Diamond Leung, the stellar beat writer for the Riverside Press-Enterprise, has been laid off. We’ve all been depending on Diamond’s Dodger coverage, which has been just great for a long time now.
Unfortunately, it’s another symptom of both the bad economy and what seem to be the death throes of the newspaper industry. Yet there are real people behind all the depressing numbers, and I sure hope Diamond winds up on his feet somewhere. With his talent, I think that’s a sure bet.
UPDATE: Great news — Diamond has started up his own blog, Diamond Notes, over at Tumblr. Go Diamond!
