The Library of Congress has been posting some awesome historical pictures on Flickr, inviting users to tag and comment on them as a means of both sharing and helping to categorize various collections. A goodly number of them have been old-school baseball photos, including some from Brooklyn. Here’s a few posted today:

I have 8 black and white photos that are 5 x 7 in perfect condition. No tears or folds. They are of the Brooklyn Dodgers, names Peewee Reese, Sal Maglie, Carl Furillo, Duke Snider, Jim Gilliam, Roy Campanells, Clem Labine, Walter Alston Would you please tell me how much they might be worth. I would like to sell them. Thank you, Paul
Hi, Paul — I don’t know how much they would be worth, but I imagine something. Maybe getting in touch with a memorabilia collection shop?
