I’m intrigued by our new center fielder, as he is a 10-years-younger version of our last center fielder, Kenny Lofton. Word has come down that Kenny is signing with the Rangers for 1 year, $6 million. I’m glad he’s landed in a new gig relatively quickly.
Despite his having something of a disappearance in the playoffs last year, I will miss having Kenny around, as he seemed to have a positive effect on his teammates. I was always amazed at how he would all but limp up to bat, then fly around the bases at top speed — still like a rabbit even with his years adding up.Take care, Lofty.
